    Our client is an international logistics company with a strong presence in Europe (regional country head offices, hubs, depots) and the USA. The office is in the region of Amsterdam where you will be part of a small finance & audit department with informal communication lines. As auditor you will organize, plan, conduct your audits in a variety of business areas: finance, sales, projects, compliance and special investigations. More specifically you will: - Participate in audits throughout Europe - Build/review audit programs (customized to local processes) - Ensure audit work and findings are adequately documented - Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of management controls, process controls and financial controls of the processes reviewed - Discuss audit findings and risks with local process owners - Prepare audit report with audit findings and practical recommendations. - Prioritize issues based on their significance and impact and collaborate with auditees to develop practical and cost-effective recommendations - Develop knowledge in critical subject matter area and/or knowledge of key business processes Your main interactions will be with finance departments and other line functions (e.g. Sales, Operations), senior management and audit management. You must have an academic education: Masters degree in economics or business administration, CPA or comparable post graduate education. From 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience (external or internal auditing) working a Big Four Accountancy firm or for an International Audit Department Knowledge of internal controls (financial/COSO) You speak and write fluently English and Italian Capable of a rigorous analytic approach and result oriented. Ability to place details in wider internal control context Ability to explain findings and to convince the organization to implement recommendations Being able to liaise with managers (Finance/ Sales/ Operations) of working companies Demonstrate teamwork through cooperation with seniors and other staff, sharing information, accepting constructive feedback, and accepting additional assignments when appropriate High degree of flexibility Willingness to travel regularly mostly throughout Europe (40%)
