    Global Automation Brand The Head of Product Management Automation will manage the product portfolio of the Automation segment. He/she actively manages the product portfolio including the product life cycle management in alignment with Solution Management, which includes the continuous product (including consumables and services) improvement, in interaction with different internal and external partners. He/she is further responsible to define product development requirements and to support the market introduction of new products in in the Automation segment according to the requirements of Solution Management. The Head of Product Management is responsible for the following tasks:Development of product and development road-map, by defining requirements and prioritization and developing of Automation-vision. Decides/proposes upgrade and end of life plans for late stage products. Approves OPEX spending during product development Reviews development projects, decides/approves (re-)allocation of development resources together with R&D heads Technical specification for new developments, based on requirements from Solution Management Participates in decisions regarding new product selection, technical product specifications, product stage gates and release readiness. Education of regional sales force and product specialists, incl. conducting trainings Close collaboration with worldwide R&D Manager, Solutions Managers, TCs Technical teams and Sales and Marketing Cost calculation and pricing the products and consumables, including life cycle costs Producing the required product documentation - Sales, Technical, Project, Costs-Pricing Competition and market analysis Management of OEM-Partners especially for product and consumables development Collect the certifications requirements from market organizations and manage their introduction into products Result orientationCost and price strategy of the product-lines, including delivery time of new developments Projects and sales volume Standard sales presentations / documentations as well as general product documentation and training Technical/Commercial Knowledge Knowledge about Automation Products including HW and SW Market-price knowledge Cost calculation and pricing strategies Customer focusEducation of Sales and Sales Enablement Documentation (PDP, Sales, Sales Enablement) Collaboration with project teams Gathering of market requirements (mainly through Solution Management) from prospects, customers, vendors, technology visionaries, market experts, competition Analytical thinking & decision making Pricing strategy Development of product strategy and road-map Competitor analysis and market trends investigation LeadershipGuiding the development projects Collaboration with in- and external partners Conduction trainings Managing the Automation Product Manager FlexibilityLocal visits and conducting discussions / trainings Reactive to new requirements Take new tasks / challenges Team work Within TCs, especially with R&D and Production With market organizations, Solutions and Marketing Teams With division, especially Enterprise Software With project partner in the region With OEM-Partners Communication Open, effective and pro-active communication with the associated partners Appropriate style and good presentation skills Manage challenges between the Module Management, Engineering & Development, Marketing, Specialists, sales teams, project partner and Innovation Management as it applies to product enhancements / innovations Coordinate the sales, marketing and realization rollout plans for new product releases from a product perspective
